If you’re reading this post, chances are you have experienced sleep paralysis firsthand. It certainly leaves a lasting impression. Doesn’t it? And by lasting impression, I mean a lot of questions!
What is sleep paralysis?
Sleep paralysis is an event when the mind is awake and conscious but the body is not responding in a typical animated fashion. This most commonly happens immediately following a sleep state. It is believed to be brought on by depression, anxiety and stress. However, I’m here to tell you that there is another reason… a bigger reason.
If you find that you have experienced sleep paralysis in the past, or this is a current condition you suffer from, there is a lot more that you need to look into aside from just sleep habits.
Sleep paralysis occurs when a spirit or entity is trying to communicate with you or overpower you. Energy beings in other realms are sometimes more aware of your psychic mediumship abilities than you are. When you’re a medium, you shine a certain light and transmit a specific vibration that attracts them to you.
If you are unaware that this is happening or have yet to acknowledge or embrace these gifts, then you will absolutely experience the depression, anxiety and stress that psychologists will try to blame as the reason for the sleep paralysis. But the depression, anxiety and stress are just another set of symptoms, and not the cause.
